1- Bird Feeders
Collect all the metal cans, cloth mesh, popsicle sticks or bottles around you! Group the children (so they can cooperate) to do the bird feeders. 2- Mini Recycling Centre
Another way to teach your children how to save our planet is by designing a mini recycling center in your school. How? First, you will need a large dustbin, do not use boxes. Before teaching the children how to make a mini recycling center, hand them plastic bags and start to collect the rubbish around the school. You can go to the field if you want to. Spend ½ hour on this activity. Do not forget to distribute gloves! Always, always practice good hygiene.
After that, tell your children that there are 3 dustbins and each one is for different waste. Label the dustbins with the picture of glass, plastic, and papers. This way, the children will understand how to separate the rubbish. When they have learned about this, remind them every day to throw their rubbish in the right dustbin. Fun but simple, isn’t it?
