About ALFA And Friends ACADEMY

ALFA and Friends Academy brings professional learning community together and supportively provide access to our continuous professional development and opportunities to undertake short courses and internationally recognised qualifications.

The team in the academy has been conducting teachers training workshops and courses since 2002. It continues to actively supporting the teachers in building evidence based practices, and applying them in their assessments and instructions.

Professional Diploma In Intergrated STEM Education

Detail Programmes

1. Entry Requirements

Candidates must have any Level 3 certification in any relevant field recognised by the International Education and Microcredential Exchange (IEMX); or
Candidates without an academic qualification must be at least 21 years old to enrol.

2. Programme Structure

Blended Mode

The program includes a total of 60 credit hours divided into 36 credit hours of Classes, 12 credit hours Final Project Workshop and 12 credit hours Viva Examination.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING & DURATION

Six (6) modules of experiential lessons will be delivered by ALFA and Friends Academy in 6 months, with only 1 class of 6 hours per month.

LEB VIVA EXAMINATION

LEB Viva Examination will be held in Malaysia. Students can also opt to sit for this Viva Examination in UK.

MONTHLY INTAKE

Students recruitment will be conducted by ALFA and Friends Academy, with new intake on monthly basis. This programme is open to all 21 years old adults. Prospective students would receive an Offer Letter via intake@kliec.org.

GRADUATION

Students who passed the LEB Viva Examination would be invited to attend the LEB graduation ceremony in London.

Science Education for Young Children

Experience the effective teaching approaches and practices in science education and reflect on the links between content, learning intentions and teaching practices.

Mathematics Education for Young Children

Experience the effective teaching approaches and practices in mathematics education and reflect on the links between content, learning intentions and teaching practices.

Coding and Robotics for Young Children

Experience the various teaching tools, robotics kit, media and manuals to effectively engage and scaffold the learning of Coding and Robotics in young children.

Digital Arts for Young Children

Experience the various teaching tools, media and manuals to effectively engage and scaffold the learning of Digital Art in young children.

Integrated STEM Teaching and Learning Approaches

Experience Problem-Based Learning and Design Thinking for integrated STEM teaching and learning.

Best Classroom Practices

Describe and classify teaching experiences for reflective and observational practices.

Professional Certificate In Junior Coding And Robotics

2. Programme Structure

The program includes a total of 18 credit hours divided into 12 credit hours of Classes, 4 credit hours Final Project Workshop and 2 credit hours Viva Examination.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING & DURATION

Three (3) modules of experiential lessons will be delivered by ALFA and Friends Academy in 3 months, with only 1 class of 6 hours per month.

Animation with Scratch Programming

Fundamental in creating animated cards for festivals and celebrations through a block-based programming language.

Game Design with Scratch Programming

Fundamental in designing interactive games through a block-based programming language while exploring advanced game mechanics like collision detection, scoring systems, leaderboards, timers, level progression, and many more.

Robotics Programming II

Introduction of robotic components and sensors through block-based programming language to program a robot that will follow a specific instruction.
